While Arturo Fuente has not confirmed the specific wrapper or blend components, history suggests that any cigar bearing the OpusX name is crafted using the company’s prized wrapper tobacco grown at Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic. Beyond that, details remain intentionally scarce.
Retailers themselves were given virtually no advance information. Michael Cafagno, owner of Tobacconist of Greenwich in Connecticut, described the release as a complete surprise. Upon arrival, however, the reaction was immediate admiration — not only for the cigar’s striking appearance, but also for what it represents: the arrival of yet another elite chapter in the OpusX lineage. Even the Fuente website remains silent on the release.
